Reaching the top alone is incredibly difficult. That’s why we've joined the loughborough university performance team: one of the best training groups in the world, welcoming elite athletes from around the world. Admission requires a top8 European or top10 World Championship finish. a criteria we both proudly meet.

Loughborough provides a world-class environment surrounded by Olympic champions and premier facilities, and offers the ultimate setting to fully support our continued athletic development. This prestigious program produced both triathlon gold medalists at the 2024 Paris Olympics. women's gold winner cassandre beaugrand (fra) was trained by gavin smith, who is also our coach from spring 2025.

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR THE OLYMPICS


All athletes must undergo a qualifying pathway to earn a spot for the la28 olympic games. Olympic triathlon qualification for La28 consists of a two-year ranking period. The qualification window opens on 18 May 2026 and concludes on 18 May 2028. points are accumulated based on an athlete’s best 12 scores During that period.

The individual rankings will provide 55 athletes in each gender with the coveted quota places. Points are accumulated over two years, considering an athlete's best 12 scores. a minimum of 217 points per race is needed to get at least 2600 points, which historically grants a place in the top55.

CHASING THE PODIUM

We know that the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics may not yet be the games where we’ll fight for a medal. From a scientific perspective there’s still some way to go by 2028, considering our age, experience, and current aerobic base. But qualifying for the Olympics and competing for a top20 finish is certainly within reach.

2032 isn’t far away, and by then, our eyes, ears, and hearts will all be focused on bringing home a medal for Estonia. follow our journey and stay tuned for updates!
